Re: Install redhat 3U5

Where did you get a driver disk for RHEL 3 for BL680c?

It is not available at the standard download page:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3562397&taskId=135&prodTypeId=3709945&prodSeriesId=3454580&submit.y=0&submit.x=0тМй=en&cc=us

In fact, looks like RHEL 3 (any Update level) is not supported on BL680c.

Remember that RHEL 3 uses a 2.4.xx series Linux kernel, while RHEL 4 and above use 2.6.xx series kernel. The driver disk for RHEL 4 or 5 is *not* useful for RHEL 3.

Re: Install redhat 3U5

If you're really stuck with using 3U5 and can't use a later version, have you considered running your 3U5 install inside a Virtual Machine and abstracting the hardware?
