linux AS 4 U 4 (AMD64) problem with SA P410

We have Proliant DL 385 G6 (with SA P410) and we are going to install Linux RedHat AS 4 U 4 (AMD64)
It could not load the device driver for the controller . We have downloaded the driver from HP site and made the driver diskett (cpq_cciss-2.6.20-23.rhel4.x86_64.dd.gz )but the set up prompt us with improper driver for the specific device !!!!
Please kindly let us know if you got the solution ???

According to the certification matrix, the minimum supported version of RHEL 4 on this system is update 6

That being said, you can probably make update 4 work by using the latest cciss driver, and possibly the latest NIC drivers.

After you downloaded the file, did you gunzip and use either dd or rawrite to create the floppy image?

This page provides instructions on making the floppy image, and what to type when booting the RHEL media
