linux

I see some people's messages that "multipath -v2" doesn't show anything but "multipath -v3" does. Mine has the same problem. Can anybody tell me the difference? Man multipath only says "2 + print all info : detected paths, coalesced paths (ie multipaths) and device maps".

Waht is the result of these commands.?

I use RH Linux 5.3, kernel 2.6.18-92.1.22.el5.

Re: linux

Hello Yong,

Our latest multipath issue resulted in no output with '-v2' as well, but it did not affect the functionality of multipath for us. All the paths still showed up in 'multipath -ll' and persisted across reboots.

The difference between -v2 and -v3 are the verbosity levels. I do not know the exact differences between them.
