LUN presentation Linux
Hi,
I have attached a C-Class blade server runninng RH5 Linux to an EVA and presented a new LUN to it. I now need to bring the new LUN into my redhat OS. without ioscan I cannot appear to id what the new LUN is. /proc/devices does not help either.
How can I id the new LUN in order to enable LVM to create a new partition?

Re: LUN presentation Linux
Can you reboot your server to reload all the drivers?
Which fiber card do you have and which driver did you install.
Can you also give the XCS version of your EVA

Re: LUN presentation Linux
Hi,
If you've installed the HP drivers, then you should probably have the hp_fibretools package installed.
This includes the command "lssd" which will list all san disks...
If not, then you should see the LUN being picked up in the output of dmesg.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Rob
