LUN resized on EVA

I asked our SAN engineer to add another 1TB LUN and present it to the system, instead he increased the existing LUN to 2TB.

the LUN originally was added to a volume group and we had a couple of LV's created in that volume group.

now I can see the LUN with the new size if I run multipath -l but the PV still shows the old size.

how do I resize the PV the the presented size without loosing data?

Donny, just curious: Which Linux and version are you running?

Thanks in advance

Re: LUN resized on EVA

Shalom,

pvresize does not always work. It depends on the type of storage, the OS, and a number of other factors.

It is much more reliable and easy to have your SAN admin follow your instructions and add a new LUN to add space. This reduces annoying reboots and delays.
