mirroring
Dear Sirs,
My secondary hardrive in my rx8620 running hp-ux 11.23 has crashed. As time is not on our side to acquire a new harddrive for replacement, we have another server which had the OS installed but that server was nerver used. We intend to use this drive for replacement.
Since it already has the OS installed what should we do to get ride of the OS before using it for mirroring.
Thank you.
Kingsley

Re: mirroring
Don't care about the data on this disk. vgcfgrestore will overwrite the existing configuration. Just replace the bad disk as usual:

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: mirroring
Hi !
I have been able to mirror my root disk successfully. But because the root disk complained of media failure, the system was unstable and lvol8/var couldn't syncronised.
Any clue on how to solve the stale lvol8 problem.
Thank you.
