mount point shows 0% even though disks have data

I'm having a big prod. problem. Disks in /dev/vg02/lvol01 are there and have data on them. I removed the old filesystem directory and recreated a new filesystem to the same lvol. The mount command mounts the lvol, however it doesn't see any data?? Any ideas as to what can be done to make the new mountpoint see the data on the disks?

Thanks

If you have recreated the filesystem, this is "newfs (or mkfs) dev/vg02/lvol01", you have lost all data in that logical volume.

Hi,

How did you remove the filesystem.
If you have removed the filesystem and the filesystem was still mounted all your data is lost.
Futher more if you really did a newfs on the old logical volume all your data is also gone.
Maybe you can put all your steps you have performed so we can look whats wrong.

Re: mount point shows 0% even though disks have data

I just created a new filesystem and restored from tape backup. I found out later on that someone had done a lvreduce and that's most likely where the source of filesystem corruption began.

Thanks to all for your help.
