Re: mp question

You want to know if they are online?
You cannot.
The OS must be up and running for that. Do the checks from OS.

Hope this helps!

Re: mp question

If the server is up and running you can check the status of the MP lan card with CM>LS If you are looking for errors you can check the console log (MP>CL) or show event logs (MP>SL) and then format for text and l for last.

If the server is down do you have pa-risc or itanium architecture? You can either interact with the BCH or efi

Re: mp question

If the OS is up, you can access system through console, meaning from MP login. Once you are log in, lanscan, lanadmin, netstat -in can give you full info regarding your LAN cards whethere up or down.

Re: mp question

Hi,

You can either check for either check for errors (if any) from MP>SL

Or go to the running OS - MP>CO
then use the HP-UX commands mentioned

MP is the Management (Processor) Console

Re: mp question

Hi,

From MP , you can check MP LAN
MP>CM>LS
For system log
MP>CM>SL

But u can not check LAN from MP, for it u have to check it from OS

#lanscan
#ping
#vi /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log
