MSA 1000 & EVA 8100 storage connetivity together at a time
I have a DL580 server with the RHEL3 OS (Kernel Ver 2.4.21), 3 FC QLA2342 (Firmware Ver 3.03.19, Driver Ver 7.07.05.02) connected to a MSA1000 using 2 FC (8 LUN) running smoothly.
I want to connect the server with another one FC (8 LUN) with EVA 8100.
Is it possible to connect all (MSA 1000 & EVA 8100) storage together with the server at a time?
I already configured 8 LUN in EVA 8100 using one FC for DL 580 but I have seen 24 LUN in the Server (Using command: hp_rescan). Why?
Do I need to install multipath (MPIO) once again to resolve this issue?

Re: MSA 1000 & EVA 8100 storage connetivity together at a time
Shalom,
If you are seeing more paths than actual LUNs then you may see this as a result that a basic form of multipath is build into Linux.
Yes, if you have two fiber cards or you have a single SAN switch it should be possible to connect to storage on MSA-1000 and EVA-8100 at the same time.
