NIC card question

Hi,
When doing a lanscan and looking at the cards on this server (see below), am I misinterpreting the info or am I seeing one 10/100 NIC and one 10/100/100 NIC???? I see a "PCI 100 BaseT LAN Interface" card and a "Core PCI 1000Base-T Link" card. Any ideas???

Yes, that's exactly what you're seeing.

Although, the gigabit NIC description includes the word "Core", so it's probably integrated to the core I/O board or the system board.

Any idea why I don't see the path on the 1000Base-T card when doing ioscan? Lanscan shows both being up. Just curious.

You see the path, but no device file.

This is normal, because it is not needed.

Different card, different driver, different handling.
