Do you want NIS or NFS?

Automount/autofs?
Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?

NIS is not what most people would call a file
sharing scheme. NFS is a file sharing scheme.
If you want to mount some remote file system
on your local system, then you probably want
NFS, not NIS. If you want to share passwd,
group, and similar data among some systems,
then NIS may be what you want, but it doesn't
really "share a file".
