NO INTERNET CONNECTION IN UBUNTU 10.04
hi all,
i have installed ubuntu 10.04 recently,but internet is not getting connected,it is pinging with the gateway and the main server,but mozilla showing cannot find server..

On what? Which is connected to what, how?
Configured how?

much about these systems.

Which "server"? When you do what, exactly?
As usual, showing actual commands with their
actual output can be more helpful than vague
descriptions and interpretations.

Please be more specific while posting questions,
You are unable to access internet using Firefox but able to ping your gateway, I hope this is what your problem is.
If so then check whether you can ping to any of the website,example:ping gmail.com.If its not pinging then check the DNS IP and proxy details.
Their should not be any issue if its pinging
