No keyboard on ILO2-Blade 465c and RHAS3 U8
On a BL465c (AMD) running Red Hat AS 3 Update 8 is the ILO2 keyboard not working. During POST/BIOS and GRUB it works fine. When the red hat system cames up ist the keyboard disabled. In dmesg output I have found this: initialize_kbd: Keyboard failed self test
Same problem with RHAS3U8 on all BL465c blades. No problem with keyboard on BL460c (Intel) blades and RHAS3U8. The ILO2 firmware is updated to 1.29. Thanks for any hint how to solve this problem.

Re: No keyboard on ILO2-Blade 465c and RHAS3 U8
Shalom,
Try running up2date on the system and see if this has been fixed in a recent patch.
That should be possible through the iLo console if nothing else.
I'm wondering if other RH releases or Linuxes also show this behavior.
Try also a different keyboard on the KVM.

Re: No keyboard on ILO2-Blade 465c and RHAS3 U8
Steven,
the blade server has only iLo2 "HP virtual keyboard". The other way to access the blades is via ssh or telnet. I am wondering why this combination (BL465c and RHEL3U8) is marked as certified in the HP/RedHat support matrix without any additional notes.
