NTP issue?

remote refid st t when poll reach delay offset jitter
==============================================================================
*time.nist.gov .ACTS. 1 u 660 1024 277 75.380 -1.987 0.240
LOCAL(0) LOCAL(0) 10 l 44 64 377 0.000 0.000 0.001

I am getting the above result from ntpq -p output. Does the above looks normal? As, I have the below problem:
When I create a file on the NFS file system, it gives the date created as Nov 10 2008. But when I create a file on local file system(ex /tmp) it gives the exact time as Nov 10 09:41. The system is in DMZ.

Re: NTP issue?

Please see:

http://www.unix.com.ua/orelly/networking_2ndEd/nfs/ch14_07.htm

The above output shows that NTP sync is working having time.nist.gov as time source. You should check that both systems are with the time in sync.

Please keep asigning points.
