Hi Experts,

I have HP UNIX Box(B.11.11 U 9000/800), in this around 86 printer are installed.
Some of the printer are not used, I need to identify these NOT used printers and remove from server .

1. How to identify the NOT used Printers.
2. How to remove from HPUX Box.

Anybody know please guide me .

Thanks in Advance.

Re: REMOVERING NOT used printerS

1. First, you have to decide what "unused" means. Do you mean: not used in one day? one week? one month? one year? Once you have decided the limit for non-use, list the directories for print jobs in time order:

ll -t /var/spool/lp/request

The printer names at the bottom of the list are the oldest, that is, never used since the date shown. You can then pick a date after which the printer is considered to be unused. Then remove the printer:

2. lpadmin -x printer_name
