replace disk - hpux rx2660 - howto
HI!
I have to change a damaged disk from HP Integrity rx2660 server with HPUX 11.23 ia64.
It's a disk from a RAID structure.
The new disk is not brand new and it is from another operating system machine. Can I simply erase / delete
the definition of the disk at a server like Dell Poweredge 1950 and then replace it a the HP RX2660 server, with
the server active, as it is hot swap disk?
Will it work?
Regards,
Claudia

Re: replace disk - hpux rx2660 - howto
It all depends on what disk controller is used.
FOr more information send an "ioscan -fn" and google
"when good disks go bad".
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
