Replace primary root disk in rp4440 HP-UX 11.23

Do i need to vgreduce the disk out of vg00 before the eng. removes the disk?

Thanks, it all worked fine. Although my /stand/bootconf file only has one entry for the drive c2t1d0 (the good one). I've looked on other servers, are again there is only one entry.

Better add the second disk on all servers.

This step was probably never done.



If a patch replaces the EFI boot loader (hpux.efi), this entry is important.

No entry = no update !

It`s recommended to add both the entries in
"/stand/bootconf".



Where mirrors exist, the /stand/bootconf
MUST have its own line for each of the
mirrors (LVM or VxVM).

/stand/bootconf is used by SD-UX and kernel
control scripts to determine how and where
to update the boot loader.

The /stand/bootconf file contains the
address and disk layout type of the system's
boot devices. It is used by the HP-UX kernel
control script (fileset OS-Core.KERN-RUN) to
determine how and where to update the
initial boot loader.

Do it on all servers !!

what does the 'l' signify in
