RH 4.6 Crash on reboot DL560 G1

Hi,

I have Proliant DL560 G1 quadri-pro 12Go RAM
4 Go swap with RedHat AS 4.6 and PSP 8.00

Description of problem:

Kernel crashes on reboot
2.6.9-67.ELsmp

How reproducible:
Random

Steps to Reproduce:
Reboot

Possible solutions:

1) Update the RHEL AS update 7 or update 8 if released.

2) Update to a more current version of PSP.

3) Have your DL560 G1 firmware updated or do it yourself.

Let me offer some advice when reporting problems like this or even looking for solutions.

A problem description of "crashes on reboot" is far too vague for anyone to suggest anything other than 'try updating', as the next writer did. If you want real assistance in figuring out why the system crashed, you will need at the minimum to capture the console log of the crash and post it. Better than that would be capture a dump.
