rx8620 cell 0 impact on other partitions
I have an rx8620 with three configured partitions, and the expansion i/o cabinet. Cells 0+1 are combined, and cells 2 and 3 are separate HPUX 11.23 partitions. I am no longer needing cells 0,1,or 2, but have a production HPUX 11.23 server running on cell 3.
Can partition 0(cell 0&1) be physically powered off (cm/pe) without have any impact on partition 2(cell 3)?

Re: rx8620 cell 0 impact on other partitions
If cell 3 is its own parittion then all other cells and partitions can be safely powered off. Hard partitioning is designed to do just that.

Re: rx8620 cell 0 impact on other partitions
Hi ,
Yes , we can power off the cells 0,1 .However please confirmwhch cells are part of partition 0 and 1 .
The cell 0 and cell 1 are hard wired to io chassis 0 and 1.
