Slow running HP Prolint Gen 9
I have a server which has been running slowly and sometime even crawling. Below is a s-trace of a command which i ran and i notices that a system call took about 24s to complete. Does anyone know what might be the reason? What can i troubleshoot in the server? All system metrics (CPU/RAM etc) looks normal to me.
0.000809 rt_sigaction(SIGKILL, {0x404840, [KILL], SA_RESTORER|SA_RESTART, 0x7fbb70b6c4b0}, 0x7fff1aa27e70, 8) = -1 EINVAL (Invalid argument)
0.024098 rt_sigaction(SIGTERM, {0x404840, [TERM], SA_RESTORER|SA_RESTART, 0x7fbb70b6c4b0}, {SIG_DFL, [], 0}, 8) = 0
0.006378 wait4(-1, [{WIFEXITED(s) && WEXITSTATUS(s) == 0}], 0, NULL) = 3325
24.746578 --- SIGCHLD {si_signo=SIGCHLD, si_code=CLD_EXITED, si_pid=3325, si_uid=0, si_status=0, si_utime=2134, si_stime=311} ---
0.011690 rt_sigaction(SIGINT, {SIG_DFL, [INT], SA_RESTORER|SA_RESTART, 0x7fbb70b6c4b0}, {0x404840, [INT], SA_RESTORER|SA_RESTART, 0x7fbb70b6c4b0}, 8) = 0
0.000986 rt_sigaction(SIGKILL, {SIG_DFL, [KILL], SA_RESTORER|SA_RESTART, 0x7fbb70b6c4b0}, 0x7fff1aa27e70, 8) = -1 EINVAL (Invalid argument)
Thanks in advance.

Re: Slow running HP Prolint Gen 9
Hello David,
Thank you for your query.
Please confirm if you have used Top command to check the performance of the server. In case , you are getting same results, then please open a support ticket with HPE Technical support for a detailed analysis.
While logging a support ticket, please share following details :-
1. A clear description of the issue i.e. exact point of the performance bottleneck:-
>>Storage (local and external storage devices)
>>Network (NIC card)
>>Processing (CPU, Memory)
2. Server Hardware details (Model and Serial number)
3. OS version(Kernel and build details)
4. Baseline with which you are comparing the performance.
5. Since when you are getting this issue.
6. Any changes done on the server hardware or software before this issue was seen.
Regards,
