Re: smart Start Installation Problem

Shalom,

This may be a problem with the PSP software. It did the same thing to me a few months back.

I went to RHEL 5.2 and a newer (or different) version of PSP. Not sure which actually solved the problem. My install completed.

I found RHEL 5.1 to be a bit unstable and don't recommend it. 5.2 is stable, 5.3 lacks a PSP version last I checked.

Re: smart Start Installation Problem

so you suggest to start with updating the SMARTSTART or downgrade it .... well the actual problem was to assign msa2000fc virtual volume to the particular server .... and someone ask me to install psp first.
actually i was not able to install device mapper that dragged me to install psp and got this error. if you have got any idea about the device mapper error
"RPM Build was not successful. Please refer to 'HPDMMP_Install.log' for more information.
This installation will be aborted."
thanx

Re: smart Start Installation Problem

Muhammad,
The issue here is that RHEL5 mounts all CDs without execution permission to enhance security. To resolve the issue, just umount the CD and remount it. Then try executing the install???.sh file and everything should work.
