Re: SUDO for SUSE Linux

Hello,

a) One of many search engines for packages:

http://rpmseek.com/rpm-pl/sudo.html?hl=com&cs=sudo:PN:0:0:0:0

b) Or, in the worst case, get the sources
and compile it yourself. It is
very easy as log as you have a compiler
installed on your server.

Cheers,

Re: SUDO for SUSE Linux

Sudo should be part of the base system when installed. I never had to separately install sudo when setting up a SLES system (about a dozen so far).

If it did not get installed, you should be able to get it off of the installation CD.

Re: SUDO for SUSE Linux

SUDO is available on the SUSE install media.

Thanks for all the advice.

Re: SUDO for SUSE Linux

indeed, i can remember that redhat 6.0 didn't have sudo installed yet, after that release it was and every distro did the same pretty much. i wonder which super-minimal install you did to get sudo excluded from such a recent suse release.

Re: SUDO for SUSE Linux

If you cannot find it on the DVD, or don't have one, try "zypper in sudo" as root, from the command-line.
