system is very slow.

whenever the computer is opening some application or connecting to internet it is very slow.And also the system is slow even we did a diskcleanup,msconfig,deleted the temp internet files in the computer.

Kill off any extra services and programs that may be running that are not needed. Run a virusscan too. Make sure you are not out of disk space too.

If this is a Microsoft system. Please do the latest Microsoft update. You might be experiencing the effects of the blaster virus.
If you are running any anti virus software please download the latest anti virus dat files from the respective vendors.
If this is due to a virus it might also be a good idead to talk to your anti virus vendor and find out if any disk scrubbing is required.
