ok, what do you want to upgrade from? Did you get any DVD's with 11.31 release / do you have any depot on the server to make a network update?

You need to find the release date of your 'destination' OS (11.31) and then find all the informations in the "HP-UX 11iv3 Installation and update guide " , got it?

It doesn't make sense to write here the whole process, you should refer to Section: Updating to HP-UX 11i v3 in the document corresponding to your release.
