veritas issue.

Hi,

One of my hp-ux 11.11 server has got veritas VM for few vgs.Root VG is configured under LVM.It went for a panic reboot and I could see following error in shutdown log.
"01:11 Thu Nov 29 2007. Reboot after panic: vfdswapi: syncpageio detected an error"
Sever came back successfully, but none of the veritas volumes are mounting. It is throwing following errors.

"vxvm: Vold is not enabled for transactions"

Would you please help me?Thank you.

Re: veritas issue.

Hi,

vfdswapi: syncpageio detected an error --> do you have a disk configured for swap use? Chaeck if the disk is still available.

Try below command to enable the volumes.
# vxdctl enable
# vxdisk list

Re: veritas issue.

Hi

I think you can search in google for this error and it pulls up quite a few things ,that might help I guess.

I don't want to take things from there and put it here , you may as well check it out.
