vg and pv cmds slow

vg and pv cmds slow

I have a RHEL5.6 box and i am running vgs and pvs commands and it just hangs. We never change any filters and normally allow all block devices on lvm.conf. It does not have any external disks connected. Could someone throw more light?

What is the output if you run "vgscan -vvvv"?

 

Warning: the output is likely to be very long, so you may want to direct it to a file:

vgscan -vvvv >/tmp/verbose-vgscan.txt 2>&1
