Re: vmunix: tunioctl(0):

Look at patch PHNE_28538 if 11.0 or PHNE_28895 if 11.11.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: vmunix: tunioctl(0):

Hi,
i did a little reasearch for this message.

"This code is part of IP Tunneling which is normally used by PPP
(Point-To-Point-Protocol)."

Looks like this caused by someone turning on PPP by mistake.

Have you recently configured a modem on that server ?

Re: vmunix: tunioctl(0):

Applying patch PHNE_28538 (HP-UX 11.00) may resolve the issue:

Re: vmunix: tunioctl(0):

Odd,

This seems to be some BSD ppp networking code making a system call that isn't supported on HP-UX, or at least on your version of it. Have you installed some software recently that could b the culprit here?

Re: vmunix: tunioctl(0):

yes, we have recently configured an external modem. These messages get written to syslog whenever external connection establised through modem.

Do you suggest patch resolve this issue?

Re: vmunix: tunioctl(0):

Generally speaking: yes.

Does the modem works ?
