Actually there is. Suppose it would have been a conversion of the combo LVM/VxFS on HP-UX to VxVM/VxFS on Solaris.
That would have been a minor issue. Turn LVM to VxVM on HP-UX, umount the filesystem, deport the diskgroup, make the volumes accessible to the solaris hosts and import the diskgroup on the solaris side, fsck the vxfs filesystem and mount the filesystem. All in a few hours work for a few TB of filesystems.

The problem with Linux is while the same versions of VxVM and VxFS as in HP-UX/Solaris are also available on Linux/Windows, the difference of little vs. big endian, doesnt, afaik, let the same operation be valid, between a HP-UX and linux.
