Guys,
I've got a superdome HP_UX 11.11 connecting a ADIC tape library, before drivers' status were similar to:
tape 3 5/0/8/0/0.1.5.0.0.0.4 atdd CLAIMED DEVICE IBM ULTRIUM-TD2
then one day a failed driver was replaced, its ioscan output:
tape 4 5/0/8/0/0.1.5.0.0.0.5 stape CLAIMED DEVICE IBM ULT3580-TD2
I don't know the difference between ULTRIUM-TD2 and ULT3580-TD2, but ULT3580-TD2 uses different drive than ULTRIUM-TD2, and I don't know whether the new added driver would operate correctly.
So, os "choose" this stape drive for this new added driver and make sure it suitable? is there a way to change device's drive?
regards
Stephen

I noticed your driver is changed from atdd to stape.
Read this thread, it is explaining the same case.
