HPE Receives AT&T 2017 Supplier Diversity Excellence Award
At Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), diversity and inclusion are key to HPE’s foundational principles. By focusing on increasing the diversity of our workforce and creating an inclusive environment in which all can thrive, we help to drive new business, fuel innovation, and attract and attain the best employees and partners. From our earliest days, we recognized that the more points of view that we can draw on, the better our products and services – and our company as a whole - will be. We are proud to be working together to create a culture of inclusion built on trust, respect and dignity for all. With that charter in mind, HPE is thrilled to be the recipient of the 2017 AT&T* Global Supplier Diversity “Diversity Excellence” Award.
This award recognizes suppliers for their commitment and support of AT&T in its goal to work with minority, women and person with a disability veteran-owned companies it their supply chain. As one of the winners of this award, HPE is recognized for utilizing 21.5% or more diverse companies in the products/services they provided to AT&T. In addition, HPE went above and beyond to seek out diverse companies through online matchmaking portals, membership in national/regional diversity business organizations and participation in trade fairs/expos.
“This year marks a significant milestone as AT&T celebrates the 50th anniversary of its Supplier Diversity program by recognizing the suppliers that also demonstrate values of inclusion,” said Susan A. Johnson, executive vice president, Global Connections & Supply Chain, AT&T. “We know inclusion drives innovation, betters our products and services, and makes a real difference in people’s lives. We’re proud of our 2017 Supplier Diversity Award winners.”
"HPE and AT&T have a long relationship promoting diversity in AT&T’s supply chain. We're pleased to be recognized by AT&T for our commitment to diversity as we bring innovative solutions for hybrid IT and intelligent edge," said Chris Hughes, Vice President and General Manager, AT&T Account at HPE.
Of the many vendors in the AT&T supply chain, HPE is one of only 6 suppliers to receive the 2017 AT&T Diversity Excellence Award. We are very proud to be recognized for our contributions that helped support AT&T supplier diversity goals and initiatives over the past year.
