How to use VDI to build your hybrid workplace: A must-see webinar
If you’re considering a virtual desktop infrastructure project to create a reliable, secure remote work environment, join us for this free online event – January 20, at 9:00 a.m. PST – where we’ll share tips and best practices.
Describing the United States as a “work-from-home-economy” might seem like a bit of an exaggeration. But it’s not. That’s the phrase used by a Stanford Institute researcher who noted in June that “an incredible 42 percent of the U.S. workforce is now working from home full-time … almost twice as many employees are working from home as at work.”1 Here in the U.K., the percentage is lower but still significant, at just over one quarter (26 percent).2 And the story is much the same in other countries around the world.
For many businesses, the technology that made the work-from-home shift possible is virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI). If you’re weighing a VDI project for your organization, I’d like to invite you to a free webinar coming up Wednesday, January 20 2021 at 9:00 a.m. PST: VDI Strategies for a Distributed Workforce. I’ll be presenting alongside Chris Hicks, Solution Architect with Citrix. HPE and Citrix have a long history of successful partnership, and we’re working together to deliver the solutions companies need to build a flexible, hybrid workplace that meets today’s pressing needs. (Read about the HPE and Citrix alliance here.)
Chris and I will share best practices and expert tips from our many years of working with these technologies across key industries, and also from the accelerated deployments we’ve seen since the start of the pandemic.
Join us to learn:
- Where to find resources that can help you dodge the potential pitfalls of VDI projects
- Why you should look for a solution provider with deep services expertise and a strong partner ecosystem
- How VDI’s security features can keep your environments safe and protected
- How companies are using VDI to tackle real-world challenges today.
In addition, we’ll cover some of the top reasons why you should consider HPE and Citrix to help you build your complete edge-to-cloud hybrid workplace.
A pay-as-you-go approach to VDI
Though it won’t be a major focus of the webinar, I wanted to add a quick note about HPE GreenLake for VDI here. If you want the security, performance and compliance benefits of an on-premises VDI solution without the usual upfront expenses and procurement delays, you should definitely take a look at this pay-as-you-go solution. With HPE GreenLake for VDI, you get all the VDI hardware, software and support services you need, in your own environment. You can easily add capacity when you need it. And it’s all managed for you by HPE.
We also offer an easy way to get started: our HPE GreenLake for VDI Rapid Assessment is a one-day virtual collaborative workshop that enables you to identify and prioritize workloads, establish your short-term priorities, and think through the right technical approach.
Hoping you can join us virtually for the webinar – bring your questions! We’ll be offering the webinar, including the Q&A section, in a variety of time zones and languages. Here’s the link again: VDI Strategies for a Distributed Workforce.
