HPE recognized as a leader by ISG for private/hybrid cloud data center solutions
By Vivian Clark, Director of Product Marketing, HPE GreenLake
As enterprises embark on their digital transformation journey, the role of hybrid cloud platforms becomes increasingly important. Hybrid cloud platforms enable customers to embrace the private and hybrid clouds, achieving the best of both public and on-premises environments and delivering flexibility, agility, and security needed in the evolving business landscape.
ISG, a global technology research and advisory firm, undertook a comprehensive vendor evaluation, publishing reports to offer insights and data to help enterprises make informed decisions when selecting their providers and vendors. Quadrant reports categorize vendors into four quadrants based on their portfolio attractiveness and competitive strength. The quadrants are Leaders, Product Challengers, Market Challengers, and Contenders.
HPE is recognized as a leader in the 2024 ISG Provider Lens for Private/Hybrid Cloud โ Data Center Solutions, in both the Hybrid Cloud Management Platforms and Resiliency Platforms segments.
Here are a few key takeaways from the report.
- Using AI and ML technologies has become a table stake, leading to improved efficiencies and CX. ISG notes that โseveral vendors have started leveraging AI and ML to develop cloud management tools that take data from various sources to predict downtime and implement self-healing measures to prevent such situations.โ
- Vendors are leveraging automated technologies to bring efficiency and agility to their solutions. This allows enterprises to predict and proactively address issues before issues become problematic accurately. These automation techniques also apply to resilient solutions to minimize downtime caused by cyberattacks or natural disasters.
- Managing complex multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments efficiently while providing security and compliance is challenging. Vendors have made significant investments in advanced technologies such as AI and ML to simplify operations. ISG notes that โa few vendors, such as HPE and VMware have continued to lead with innovations in unified cloud management and proactive IT operations managementโ.
ISGโs principal analyst and primary author of the report, Shashank Rajmane, notes that โHPEโs GreenLake cloud adds value to enterprisesโ IT assets through its advanced capabilities for managing an entire IT ecosystem. Clients benefit from improved operational continuity and customer satisfaction, thus maintaining high service levels.โ
HPE stands out with its GreenLake cloud, offering a flexible, as-a-service consumption model to enable public cloud economics and private cloud security and performance. A platform-first, platform-based solution, HPE GreenLake provides a single-pane of management control plane, with AI/ML-driven automation and a rich system of partner solutions, delivering IT agility, operational simplicity, and security and protection in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
