Get the cloud experience for all your apps and data: HPE GreenLake Central now generally available

HPE continues to lead the drive to consumption-based IT with the announcement of the general availability of our next-gen as-a-Service platform, plus expansion of our portfolio of HPE GreenLake services.

Consumption-based IT HPE GreenLake Central.jpgLast December, I shared my excitement over the release of HPE GreenLake Central, announced during Antonio Neriโ€™s keynote at HPE Discover More Munich (see this post). Our customers could now achieve a consistent cloud experience for all of their applications and data, wherever they reside, with a single platform to run, manage and optimize the entire hybrid IT estate โ€“ HPE GreenLake Central.

Since then, weโ€™ve onboarded more than 250 customers to the new platform. And now Iโ€™m excited to let you know that we have announced the general availability of HPE GreenLake Central. Now organizations can enjoy unified, simplified management of apps and data, whether in the cloud, in the datacenter, or at the edge.

HPE GreenLake Centralโ€™s comprehensive insight and control brings a host of benefits, including the ability to prioritize spend and accelerate time to market for new products. Keith White, our SVP and GM for HPE GreenLake, put it like this: โ€œHPE GreenLake Central is an innovative leap forward that enables our customers to choose the cloud destination that makes the most sense based on cost, performance, governance and compliance. It gives developers and line of business decision-makers ways to create and innovate at the speed they need to compete in todayโ€™s market.โ€ Scroll down to see a video that gives you a quick demo of the HPE GreenLake Central dashboard.

We also announced new enhancements to our growing aaS portfolio:

Expanded HPE GreenLake services for data management and file storage

HPE GreenLake with Cohesity Data Platform. Cohesity is a disruptor in the enterprise data management space. Cohesity DataPlatform enables companies to solve mass data fragmentation by consolidating backups, file shares, object stores and data for dev/test on a single software-defined, web-scale data management platform. HPE GreenLake with Cohesity Data Platform combines those capabilities with HPE GreenLakeโ€™s flexible, pay-per-use model, enabling companies to save as much as 30 percent on TCO and achieve 65 percent faster time to market. (See Don Randallโ€™s post Introducing HPE GreenLake with Cohesity for more on the HPE-Cohesity partnership.)

HPE GreenLake with Qumulo. Modern hybrid file software from Qumulo can scale to billions of files, enabling programmatic configuration and management of usage, capacity and performance. Now thereโ€™s a solution for on-premises deployments: HPE GreenLake with Qumulo. Qumuloโ€™s platform, running on HPE Apollo 4200 Gen10 servers, delivers unprecedented flexibility, security and data visibility to enterprise organizations. Storage administrators can gain the visibility and control they need, reduce the operational burden, and eliminate costly overprovisioning. And because itโ€™s HPE GreenLake, you get simplified monthly billing based on metered usage.

Expanded HPE GreenLake services for co-location facilities

Companies are increasingly turning to co-location providers to host their data center infrastructure. HPE announced a partnership with CyrusOne in June 2019 to offer HPE GreenLake in CyrusOneโ€™s colo centers. Now weโ€™ve expanded the partnership to include the simplicity of a single contract, invoice, and point of contact. You can now deploy any HPE GreenLake solution hosted in a CyrusOne datacenter.
