Crossover cable required for a OfficeConnect 1920 24G?
I understand that most devices now a days have autosensing technology built into them however do I need to use a crossover cable to connect my 1920G to another switch (TP 24 port).
I have tried and it never gets a DHCP address (I am not using the SFP ports). Yet, other systems on the same switch have successfully gotten DHCP addresses.

Re: Crossover cable required for a OfficeConnect 1920 24G?
Requiring a crossover cable is relevant to getting a link up, so a failure to get DHCP doesn't tell you anytyhing about whether you need such a cable.
When you patch the switches together, do you get a link?

Re: Crossover cable required for a OfficeConnect 1920 24G?
No need for a cross cable. The 1920 is default auto-mdi. This means it tries to "auto-cross" the cable itself if needed during ethernet link negotiation.
