What are the differences among the editions? I notice when I try to configure a PC server - I get choices like Small Business Server and Standard edition...
If I am looking merely for a small office 1 server and 5-10 client PC's both wired and wireless, On its own Domain, File/Print Sharing and Internet Access, a simple Client (ODBC/WebApps fornt end) and a Sybase/MySQL DB on the server... what kind of Windows Server 2003 will be appropriate?

Hi Nelson,
I suggest Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition. Here is a link with more info. Note the Related Links in the sidebar:

I agree with Jay, Standard would fit your needs.
For an over-view of features and differences, go to the bottom of the page at the following link for a discription of ALL of the windows Server 2003 Editions.

Re: Differences between Windows 2003 Server Editions
Thanks for the info.
I will see if Linux will meet the client's needs. MySQL for sure can replace SyBase as the DB part is just a small DB.. no more than 20GB... File-serving.. well SAMBA can do that already...
