HP Printer Driver causes huge user profile and slow down the terminal server performance

This seems a known issue.

There are always TOO MUCH things in below key.

"HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Terminal Server\Install\Software\Hewlett-Packard\"

It maps to the file NTUSER.DAT and bloating the size. And then cause a very bad performance during user login , system performance on a TERMINAL SERVER.

Microsoft suggests to delete that key. And stop the 2 HP printer service

"Net Driver HPZ12" & "Pml Driver HPZ12"

What impacts will caused not mentioned.

Could any experts give us some comments ?

Any messaging from the printer to the user (eg. about ink levels) will no longer work.

I would set the services to "Disabled"

You can also get around this by disabling "Advanced printing features" on specific printers.
