Unbelievable!  I just tried it once again, this time using my email address rather than my ITRC UserID and it worked.  I know I tried the email yesterday but I must have mistyped the password or forgotten which of the six different ones I was supposed to use.

 

Case closed, but thanks to all!

Took me a while to figure it out.  Here is how I migrate my profile over

 

1) need to create a new HP passport account ( I do not have one before)

2) during the account creation process, there is a page asking you if you want to migrate your itrc profile over.

3) if you choose yes, then you need to enter your ITRC usernamd and password!

 

That's all.

Got today the same issue with a customer account.

 

The problem for me was, that the passport account of the customer got changed the password this week.

 

Now you could log in to HP support Center but for the migration process at the point Identify account - the old password was needed.

 

It seems, even if your passport account and itrc account are the same, the login information for the so called itrc account got frozen with the migration.

Just a quick comment for HP, why didn't you migrate our accounts and preferences over for us, instead of making this a tangled mess? That would have seemed the sensible thing to do.

Pete, I went through this migration.

If you migrate the ITRC ID to HPSC Passport Id the next to last step is migration. Once that is done you regain access to most of your software and hardware support cases.

Some of mine were missing.

Because the new support center offers now a master account functionality for people that got more then 1 passport account and/or more then 1 contract.

 

HP can not decide which account should be the master.
