Visit HPE Storage at KubeCon North America. Virtual and in-person opportunities to attend!
Hybrid events are a new reality. KubeCon North America, the most attended event under the Cloud Native Computing Foundation, will continue to run the virtual component as the in-person show resumes at limited capacity. Needless to say, Hewlett Packard Enterprise is thrilled to participate in the activities as we continue to carry our momentum in the cloud native and Kubernetes ecosystem. KubeCon and CloudNativeCon North America will be held October 11 through 15th.
HPE Ezmeral is showcasing several key open-source technologies this year, including Apache Spark, KubeDirector, SPIFFE and SPIRE. To learn more about the latest developments in SPIFFE and SPIRE, register to attend Production Identity Day. You'll also find the HPE Developer Community promoting platform APIs in the HPE booth, along with Hack Shack Workshops, and webinars from our community champions.
HPE Storage showcase
Stellar new capabilities have been introduced in the HPE CSI Driver for Kubernetes supporting HPE Alletra 6000 and 9000, HPE Nimble Storage, and HPE Primera. We're able to have broader conversations with you about multitenancy involving HPE storage for Kubernetes clusters with private cloud. Learn more about this capability in this tutorial.
Security is critical, especially when it comes to your data. The HPE CSI Driver is now capable of encrypting volumes regardless of storage backend. Data can be encrypted in-flight and at-rest, using industry standard means, with the key to retrieve the data stored in a Kubernetes secret. Check out how it works in this blog post at HPE DEV.
Application and infrastructure monitoring, along with alerting, are important to not only ensure smooth running operations but also to understand capacity planning and more accurate forecast utilization. HPE InfoSight is our flagship product to predict and prevent problems with cross-stack analytics, but does not lend itself to compose a single pane of glass for applications that InfoSight lack insights to. Many customers and partners have asked for Prometheus metric exporters for HPE storage platforms to build their own analytics around storage utilization. We are currently running an early access program on HPE Storage Array Exporter for Prometheus, and HPE CSI Info Metrics Provider for Prometheus.
In addition to our core functionality for providing persistent storage to Kubernetes to boost developer productivity and simplify operations for data infrastructure, we also have partnerships in data protection and data management with Veeam, Commvault, and Cohesity. Zerto, HPE's latest acquisition, will be showcasing market-leading data protection and resilience for Kubernetes, which utilizes Zertoโs market leading continuous data protection (CDP) technology to next-generation, containerized applications, allowing for backup, disaster recovery, and mobility of applications and data across cloud and on-premises environments. Join the Zerto team to learn about the latest enhancements and capabilities of Zerto for Kubernetes (Z4K). Additionally, to understand how to maintain application consistency across container environments, read the latest KubeCon byline from Zertoโs Deepak Verma.
Where to find us
The main HPE booth is located at P4, and Zerto can be found at S10 on the main show floor. The virtual booth may be found in the sponsor section.
HPE will be leading the following session:
- Tom Phelan and Tom Golway, HPE: Using Kubernetes with Data Processing Units to Offload Infrastructure - Friday 10/15 4:30pm.
HPE is also participating in Cloud Native Data Management Day, a co-located event hosted by our partner, Veeam.
- Michael Mattsson, HPE: How to retrofit enterprise data storage to its fullest potential for Kubernetes - Tuesday 10/11 1pm - CNDMday YouTube channel.
There's also a theater in the HPE booth where we'll give talks during the breaks. Be sure to stop by!
Summary
This year will surely be a different KubeCon than we're used to, but we hope to see you all in sunny Los Angeles, CA. Make sure to stop by the HPE booth for some COVID-appropriate swag, and a very nice giveaway. (No spoilers!). The virtual booth has office hours where you can check in with resident HPE experts on all cloud native topics we're covering โ including live presentations. Find the schedule in the virtual sponsor showcase.
Make sure to register to attend by visiting the official website of KubeCon North America 2021
