The new release of HPE Ezmeral Data Fabric adds binary tables to files, objects, and streaming data types enabling a new range of applications to use a consistent source of data from the same data fabric. As organizations continue their expansion into AI and ML, a consistent data foundation allowing secure sharing of data to sharing of models and results, to the ability to deploy models for real world use cases is critical to ensuring high-quality results.

At the center of these capabilities is the global namespace that supplies a common point of access to developers and applications with any data set under HPE Ezmeral Data Fabric management. What this means is that accessing data in an AWS West instance from Germany is as simple as clicking the AWS West entry in their directory tree.

The global namespace makes it possible to apply fine grained access controls to secure and share data, track lineage, set governance policies consistently across hybrid environments. This capability presents cost reduction opportunities by replacing multiple tools and specialized skillsets with a single solution. It also decreases risks to the organization associated with manual security configurations across previously disparate data silos.

With this new release, we added the ability to add S3 compliant data stores into the global name space. A developer can now, with single keys, access any bucket for which they have been granted access, they no longer have to concern themselves with data location and separate access methods for those disparate data stores. This is in addition to the current support for external Network File System (NFS) compliant stores.
