CS3000 Controller B not booting after starting and failing upgrade to 5.2.1.800

Hello,

I have a CS3000 that is air-gapped which has some intermittent issues with controller B going offline. I was able to get the array to start the upgrade to 5.2.1.800 and saw progress stating that the upgrade was getting unpacked on controller B. A day later, the upgrade states that it's timed out due to Controller B. I restarted the array and controller B is stuck at loading boot kernel. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Sounds like you could have a hardware issue.if be is intermittently rebooting prior to the the update.You would need someone in support to look at it.If it does not have a valid contract then you could try removing any pcie devices nics + hbas and seeing will it boot.

@DaveOb

If it's stuck trying to boot the kernel, is it something to do with the USB drive? Would I be able to clone A's USB onto B?
