HPE GreenLake for File Storage - Allocating storage to the Containers hosted on Kubernetes
Hi Team,
we are trying to explore GreenLake for file storage for our containers based environments. I am exploring how the storage is provisioned to containerized applications within kubernetes environment.
I am wondering what kind of container storage interface is available for Greenlake for file storage?
I heard about HPE Nimble Storage which works for contianers. Is this separate product in addition to HPE Greenlake or is it part of it?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: HPE GreenLake for File Storage - Allocating storage to the Containers hosted on Kubern
Hi DevSecOps,
The HPE Nimble Storage is a separate product from HPE GreenLake and it is possible to use both products together, but their purposes are different.
HPE GreenLake is a consumption-based IT infrastructure service, whereas HPE Nimble Storage is a storage solution that can be integrated with Kubernetes environments to provide persistent storage for containerized applications.
HPE Nimble Storage can support containerized environments through its Container Storage Interface (CSI) driver. Kubernetes can dynamically provision and manage storage volumes on HPE Nimble Storage arrays using this CSI driver.
If you want to provision storage for Kubernetes using HPE GreenLake, you would typically integrate it using HPE Nimble Storage's CSI driver.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Satish

Re: HPE GreenLake for File Storage - Allocating storage to the Containers hosted on Kubern
Hi Satish,
I was aware that HPE has Nimble storage product used for allocating for dynamic storage to containerized apps. We donot intend to use HPE Nimble storage.
I am only looking at HPE Greenlake itself to allocate persistent volumes to applications within containerized envornoment.
As you said, it can be done via HPE Nimble Storage's CSI driver., I am wondering if you have or point to the doucmnentation of how to configure this with HPE Greenlake for file storage., that would be great.
Thanks
DevSecOps

Hi DevSecOps
You may want to refer and go through the below link
