We have HP -UX System 11.00. We have 4GB RAM build in. But the system see only 100MB build in RAM.
Have you any idea what the problem can be?

Swap size.
Make sure it's the same size as memory.
swapinfo

man lvlnboot too

You may want to add secondary swap.
There is a discussion here about it
a few questions down.

Dave Fargo using a group ITRC login...

Depending on circumstances, there may be a hardware problem or install/configure problem on your machine.

Is this brand new and acting this way out of the box? Or did you have 4Gb at one time and now only see about 100MB or maybe 128Mb?

If it is a VClass, there is a TestStation utility called 'xconfig' that lets you see memory configuration and change it, maybe the 4Gb was never activated on your machine. Or, a memory error may have caused loss of interleave or deconfig for some reason, not sure if there is a scenario where you would still be able to boot with what looks like it might be a single DIMM.

Also, there is a teststation command-line utility called DCM which could point you to what is wrong, if it is at the hardware level.
