HP Aruba J9776A

Hi,
Our dell switch is broken and we just bought an HP Aruba J9776A switch. I experienced it sadly this switch wont work with our dell sfp modules.
I searched for a suitable module and I found this: https://www.esus-it.hu/product-hun-45778-Modul-SFP-HPE-J4859DR-LC-1-Gbps-SFP-10km.html

The seller said that they are sure the sfp module will work with the switch. It is OK but I told them the switch have to connect to a cisco sg200-26 and a dell powerconnect 2848 with single mode fiber. They said their experience is that the aruba switch wont work with the cisco switch. Does anybody have any similar experience? I need someone who can confirm this. Can I connect dell and cisco switches with the HP Aruba? I'm afraid I have to send back the Aruba.

Hello @radicsferenc,

I believe you can connect CISCO or Dell with Aruba J9776A switch.
Please refer below link for transceiver supported in J9776A.

Thanks!

Re: HP Aruba J9776A

You may need to do:

allow-unsupported-transceiver

Hope this helps

Re: HP Aruba J9776A

Thank you Jay and akg7!

"allow-unsupported-transceiver" is a great temporary solution. Dell transceivers works well with the switch. Final solution is to buy the J4859DR module. Thank you for your help!
