Edge computing brings computation and data storage closer to devices generating the data. The demand for edge computing continues to surge, primarily driven by the proliferation of IoT devices, the need for low-latency applications, and the emergence of artificial intelligence, with the goal of processing and analyzing the data in real-time closer to its source. Edge cloud is also integrating with broader hybrid cloud as enterprises are leveraging a combination of on-premises, edge, and cloud resources to optimize performance, cost, and scalability.

As enterprise customers continue to expand infrastructure to the edge, there is a need for efficient and automated ways to provision and manage resources.
