Help configuring STP with an SN2010M
Hi,
I have two SN2010M in an MLAG pair with uplink to an Aruba stack and downlinks to another Aruba switch (see screenshot below)
I have RSTP enabled on the Aruba switches with the stack being the root bridge.
What needs to be done on the SN2010M regarding STP?
Can I just enable it and configure as with any other switch?
Do I need to manually disable STP on the IPL?
I'ven seen posts stating MLAG cannot coexist with STP.
Any help would be appreaciated.
Thanks!

Re: Help configuring STP with an SN2010M
Hello atomicluis,
STP is usually disabled on individual switches within MLAG because MLAG handles loop prevention. Enabling the STP on the individual switches may lead to conflicts in the MLAG setup.
I would recommend you disable the STP on both switches.
Hope this helps!

Re: Help configuring STP with an SN2010M
@venkat_y I undertand MLAG handles loops for redundant links, but if you disable STP on these switches.. how do we protect these and other switches from someone litterally doing something dumb and causing a loop somewhere in the network?
