Is there a way to offline a drive on MSA2324fc?
I have an MSA2324fc with two disk shelves, one with 300GB 10k drives and two with 72GB 15k drives. I have spare drives of both types available but I had a situation where the 72GB 15k drive spares were exhausted and the MSA2324fc rightfully used one of the 300GB 10k drives from the global spare pool. However, the failed 72GB 15k drives have been replaced and I would like the Vdisk to migrate back to the 72GB 15k drive (right size and performance). Normally I would simply offline the 300GB 10k drive and allow the Vdisk to rebuild onto the 72GB drive and then return the 300GB to the spares pool. I cannot find a way to offline a drive via the web console or the CLI from the documentation. Is there a way to remotely offline a drive on the MSA2324fc or get it to rebuild onto a better fit drive? I am not onsite with this equipment, so pulling the drive out is not the best solution.
Thanks for your input...
