Re: We need an 'advanced search screen'
I'm not seeing the space in there - take a look at the portion of the url that's passing your search parameters:
phrase=docs.hp.com+vs.bsc
there needs to be another "+" in there between vs. and bsc - otherwise you're just searching for "vs.bsc", which doesn't occur in the original thread.

Re: We need an 'advanced search screen'
I was trying the same term in google (correct hits) and here (wrong hits).
"docs.hp.com vs. bsc"
definetely with space!
But there is also no hit for "vpars on sd2 servers", where it should be.
google:
http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/Virtualization/vPars-software-on-SD2-servers/td-p/4733125
I cannot find it here ...
Would it make sense to set the advanced "with all the words" option across all the forums as a default?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: We need an 'advanced search screen'
Torsten - I'm sorry, but I just can't duplicate your results.
Please see the two attachments for what I see when I enter "docs.hp.com vs. bsc" in the search box (one for the "suggestions" and the other for the results page upon hitting "Search").

Re: We need an 'advanced search screen'
Thanks Kevin for the 'short' answer.
That's surely matches what most of us observed/concluded.
We understand kudo's and solved markers are separate thingies.
IMHO there is room for a simple improvement though, by adding an author kudo to a post selected as 'the one solution'
To stick with the examples:
1) solved, but no specific reply selected. There is nothing more the system can do.
http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/Languages-and-Scripting/calculating-variables-with-decimals/m-p/4824241
2) a specific reply marked as the solution. Here an automatic kudo would be appropriate for that reply
http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/LVM-and-VxVM/how-to-generate-HDD-I-O/m-p/4826039
But no worries mate. Until you get this fixed automatically, we'll all chime in at times and sprinkle kudo's to match the solved flag, and then some! I have plenty of kudo's left to give. It is not like there is a shortage :-)
Cheers,
Hein

You might want to point to the FAQ:

Re: We need an 'advanced search screen'
>The unfortunate thing about the above "Go" link, I can't right or middle click on it
This now works.
Hmm. This is no longer working in firefox, 32.0.3. Right click just brings up a menu, same as any other white space.
