HPE 3PAR StoreServ 20000 with DL360p G8

Hi there I have a quick question. How can I connect HPE 3PAR StoreServ 20000 to my DL360p G8? Can I use normal SFF 8088 to SFF 8644 cable? I got this from used market so I can used it as a JBOD for my DL360p G8

A DL360p Gen8 server may not be connected to a 3PAR StoreServ 20000 with an SFF-8088 to SFF-8644 cable you mentioned.
Typically, these connectors are used to connect storage enclosures to servers, but compatibility depends on the interfaces available on both servers and storage systems.
HPE 3PAR StoreServ 20000 typically uses Fibre Channel (FC) or Ethernet connectivity to communicate with DL360p Gen8 servers depending on the storage model and connectivity options.
It is possible to connect your HPE 3PAR StoreServ 20000 server with your DL360p Gen8 server using Fibre Channel cables.
If you intend to use the HPE 3PAR StoreServ 20000 as a JBOD for the DL360p Gen8, you would typically connect it via SAS.

@Satish04 The cables I mentioned are normal SAS 12Gb cables but they have different ends SFF8088 to SFF8644, this shelf will be a JBOD for my DL360p G8. My current configuration of StoreServ has two SFF8644 modules and they are SAS 12Gb PN: E7W10-04402

With SAS 12Gb cables with SFF8088 and SFF8644 ends and HPE 3PAR StoreServ modules with SFF8644 connectors, you may be able to connect the HPE 3PAR StoreServ as a JBOD to the DL360p Gen8 server.

@Satish04 To sum up, I don't need any additional expensive hardware to run this old 3PAR StoreServ 20000 as my homelab JBOD

That is correct. You should be able to connect the HPE 3PAR StoreServ 20000 as a JBOD to your HPE DL360p Gen8 server without the need for any additional costly hardware as long as you have suitable SAS cables with SFF8088 and SFF8644 ends.
With this configuration, you can use the HPE 3PAR StoreServ storage capacity for home-lab activities including data storage, virtual machine operation, and configuration testing.
Just make sure that the SAS cables are connected correctly and that the server and storage system are configured to meet your needs.

Ok greate, that's It so my SmartArray P822 in HBA mode should work with no problem with additional software RAID on the OS side. Thank you for your help and sorry for so many stupid questions.
