I am facing an intermitent fan failure GSP error in rp 5470 server.But I found always all 6 fans( 4 fans on side+2 fans on front and rear) working fine- without any fault led indications and rotaing fine.
I run STM selecting system - i am attaching the output of information log .....

Units on the system. Each entry can be accessed by the prev/next key in the

SolutionLet me give you a short list of the fans inside the rx5670. You have two additional fans at the rear of the system called "Power Converter Fans".
Here is the list:
FAN 9 -> Front Fan
FAN 1 -> Rear Fan
FAN 2 -> PCI Cardcage FAN (upper left)
FAN 3 -> PCI Cardcage FAN (upper right)
FAN 4 -> PCI Cardcage FAN (lower left)
FAN 5 -> PCI Cardcage FAN (lower right)
FAN 6 -> Power Converter FAN (right) -> your problem
FAN 7 -> Power Converter FAN (left)
Hope this helps,
Udo
