Bad LUN0 on VA7400
I have an old VA7400, which is in warning condition. We believe we have tracked down the offendin LUN to LUN0, which is a very small LUN (10mb).
We've tried an armrbld -r
After that, we did a logprn of just today's logs, and found one particular disk failing repeatedly.
I've read that LUN0 is quite important to the entire SAN.
My question is this:
Can I backup LUN0 prior to downing the questionable disk?
Can I restore LUN0 if I blow it away thru some error?

Re: Bad LUN0 on VA7400
there is no content in this LUN0, it has to be just there!
Most of the operation system stop searching for LUNs, if there is no LUN0.
If you have no LUN0 or you "hide" it by using secure manager, a booting server can't find other LUNs.
Regarding the disk: consider to replace it.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Bad LUN0 on VA7400
I recomend you do not replace the failing disk unless your data backups are 100%

Re: Bad LUN0 on VA7400
I finally did get the armdiag to complete. The zip file is over seven mb. Do you have an ftp site where I could send this?
